Educators' Circle An Overview Sponsorship Opportunities for Leadership Donors Educators' Circle Benefits for Individuals Educators' Circle Benefits for Corporations An Overview Summerbridge Cambridge established the Educators' Circle to thank and celebrate donors who contribute $1,000 or more to sponsor SBC students or teachers on an annual basis. These donors share a commitment to creating paths to college for students in the Cambridge public schools, promoting careers in education, and advancing quality education in Cambridge and beyond. It would be impossible to fully express our gratitude for the generosity and commitment to educational equity represented by this kind of gift. Sponsorship Opportunities for Leadership Donors Sponsor a student. Create paths to college. Summerbridge Cambridge (SBC) reaches Cambridge Public School students during their critical middle school years and evolves through high school to prepare students for college admission. Most SBC students are only able to get this crucial support because it is tuition-free.         •  Middle School Supporter: $2,500-$6,000         It costs $2500 per student for the intensive summer program, and $500 for weekly support during the academic year. Your $6,000 gift matches their two-year commitment.         •  College Pathfinder: $1,000-$5,000         After middle school, help a student gain entry to college. Every $1,000 supports one student in this program for one year. Your $5,000 underwrites a progressive, five-year program of alumni support. Fact: Of all SBC high school students graduating in 2006, 97% entered four-year colleges. By comparison, 68% of their Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School class entered four-year colleges. Sponsor a teacher. Transform our children’s classrooms. Your funding will enable a talented college student to immerse him or herself in the world of teaching, and build a cohesive learning community that inspires our students to achieve higher academic performance.         •  Teacher Supporter: $1,000-$2,000         Make a gift that provides $1,000 stipends – plus up to $1,000 of financial aid – to our dynamic, college-aged teachers.         •  Mentor Teacher Supporter: $2,500-$3,000         Support and guide our classroom teachers by helping us hire part-time professional educators as their mentors. Fact: The U.S. is facing a critical teacher shortage, especially in urban settings and in public middle schools. In 2005, 73% of SBC teachers entered classrooms of their own or graduate school in education after completing college. Educators' Circle Benefits for Individuals Members of the Educators' Circle will receive   •  An annual letter from a sponsored SBC student or teacher   •  Special contact and invitations throughout the year   •  Winterfest tickets (6) and preferred seats at Celebration, a spirited showcase for SBC student achievements at the end of the summer program Educators' Circle Benefits for Corporations We provide a range of communications that report on the impact of your investment, and inform our constituencies of your involvement.
